The brow lift procedure itself generally takes about two hours to perform.
What do I need to do to prepare for my brow lift?
A detailed list of preoperative instructions will be provided to you prior to your procedure. Additionally, you will have an opportunity to have any of your questions addressed during your preoperative visit with Dr. Hudson.
What level of discomfort can I expect after brow lift?
It is common to have a headache after this procedure and some discomfort as well as nausea but it can be appropriately managed by taking the medication we will prescribe you.
How much time should I take off of work after brow lift?
We recommend taking a minimum of seven days off of work after surgery. Dr. Caroline Hudson likes to see all patients after surgery early and often. You will be asked to come to our office the following day after forehead surgery for a dressing change and possible drain removal. You will be asked to return in seven days for your first suture removal. You will also have an appointment 14 days after surgery to assess healing.
How much time should I wait until I can exercise again after brow lift?
We recommend no strenuous activity, aerobics, yoga, or heavy lifting for three weeks after surgery. Facial movements (smiling, talking, chewing, yawning, etc.) should be kept to a minimum for the first week. After three weeks you should resume your workout regimen slowly, as your body may fatigue a little easier than usual.
When would I be able to put on makeup after brow lift?
Refrain from coloring your hair for five weeks post procedure.
