How safe is a rhinoplasty?

What level of discomfort can I expect after rhinoplasty?
Swelling lasts for up to one year or even longer in some cases following rhinoplasty. However, immediate swelling typically goes down within two to three weeks following rhinoplasty, and discomfort lasts a few days after surgery and is usually well-controlled on the medications Dr. Hudson will prescribe.
How much time should I take off of work after rhinoplasty?
We recommend a minimum of one week off of work after rhinoplasty. This is because you will have sutures and a cast on for 6-7 days.
How much time should I wait until I can exercise again after rhinoplasty?
You will be fully cleared for all exercise activities three weeks after your rhinoplasty.
When would I be able to put on makeup after rhinoplasty?
You may use makeup and any facial products two weeks following your rhinoplasty.
